This is a very sad but true story and it is happening every day in Australia in all industries. The Sydney Morning Herald ran this story back in September and I’ve been meaning to get this on on the blog ever since.

This article ‘Silent victims of cut-price industry‘ is essentially about Australian businesses cutting costs. Mr Myung Yeol Hwang, an illegal immigrant, had worked in the tilling industry for the last 12 years. His cheap labour cost him his life.

Insurances, wages and taxes are the three main expenses in any business if you are doing it right and legal. Unfortunately, there is a growing trend towards taking on unskilled workers and cutting corners to cut costs, and
